2013, Laura Sporrer
Laura is currently a Senior at University of Denver – Colorado Women’s College where she is majoring in Communications and minoring in Business Administration. After graduation, Laura hopes to pursue an MBA and aspires to start her own business. In addition to working full-time and going to school, Laura has made her mark on the Women’s College as a member of Lambda Pi Eta, Communications Honor Society and the Women’s Communication Network. Laura regularly supports education reform efforts and the Denver Health Foundation’s work with adolescent mental health. In her free time, Laura enjoys running, road biking, gluten-free cooking, and occasionally skydiving.
2013, Sara Szynskie
Sara is currently a Senior at University of Denver – Colorado Women’s College where she is majoring in Information Technology Studies. Sara has a 3.95 GPA and is on track to graduate in 2014 Suma Cum Laude. After graduation, Sara plans to pursue graduate studies at either University of Denver or the University of Colorado. When Sara isn’t working full-time or going to school full-time, she enjoys reading and spending time outdoors.
2012, Paula Cuevas
Paula is a 1st year Master’s student at the University of Colorado-Denver. She is working toward a MA in Linguistically Diverse Education. She spends time volunteering with the Susan G. Komen Denver Foundation and College Summit (a non-profit that works with high school juniors in urban and low income areas to help them get to college).
Paula was recognized for her award on February 25th at the DPAC Temple Buell Theater.
